“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” -- Lao Tzu

I have the hardest time with my hair. I've always wished that I had long, thick, beautiful shiny hair, ever since I can remember. I do not have thick-stranded hair, it's very fine, and it grows painfully slow. I was 13 years old the first time I had it "frosted", and had it done every 6-12 months every year after that til I was 35. My diet all those years wasn't great, so my ends are not healthy. I was damaging it further by highlighting it.

Three years ago I decided it was time to pay better attention to the hair that I have. I wanted to grow my hair out as long as I could, and I stopped highlighting it. That was the first step. It's a

l o n g step, though, since it takes forever to grow. But I'm sticking to it. And you can tell the difference along the shaft of my hair.

About 2 months ago, I added Rosemary oil to my shampoo, conditioner and spritzer bottles. I have new happy little hairs all along my hairline!! Still slow, but I'm extremely happy with the result. I'm excited to see what time brings!

Here's some more tips that I found for some other oils. I haven't tried any except rosemary, but I definitely plan to!

Let me know if you've tried any of these or other oils and if you found success!
